Hence, as per sources claim, the purpose behind Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority’s announcement is to keep up an accurate check and balance on the illegal advertisement and other such fake carry-outs, and subsequently to look after the interest of the general public. The Regulatory body has asked all broadcast and print media and spreading service operators to make sure that all the sponsors or developers of the housing scheme present the NOC for advertisement and electronic marketing with the release of any advertisement for any channel of electronic media, newspapers, media houses and any other mode of advertisement.

Earlier in July 2022, The Rawalpindi Development Authority stated in a newspaper that New Metro City Gujar Khan is an illegal housing scheme. The RDA asked the public to refrain from making any investments in the illegal housing authority. In an Urdu language statement, the Rawalpindi Development Authority said that the promoters and creators are running a false movement through print and electronic media to deceive the people. The authority made it clear that no approval for the New Metro City Gujar Khan was required from the Rawalpindi Development Authority. The statement said the regulatory authority would not be responsible for any loss incurred by the people who engage in any kind of dealings with the housing society. A few days after this announcement, the society issued a legal letter in which it was stated that the society had got its No Objection Certificate approved by The Rawalpindi Development Authority. Now, the approval of the society can be rectified from the official website of RDA and society clearly appears to be on the list of approved societies.

It is quite obvious and clear that when a society has a ratified No Objection Certificate, its growth and expansion are expected and it does take place on the ground very soon. The development becomes legal and holds worth when a society has a No Objection Certificate.
